I shot this photo of my wife relaxing during a recent trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa. I like to try catching candid shots of people once in a while but it always seems like they appear staged. Opinions,suggestions?

I like what you are trying to do. I also like the full profile. I think that the shot would be mopre powerful with a crop. You could lose all of the foliage at the top - without hurting the composition - and then take a bit off the left so that the model is not right in the center of the photo. Another thing is the lighting - and I am not sure how this can be fixed. The direct full sunlight is important to the shot as she is relaxing in the sun - but it has left the photo with a faint reddish cast (at least on my monitor). Maybe a *slight* hue correction would help.
