New Canon Product Announcements - shuttertalk - Feb 7, 2011
Hey all, just in case you've missed it, Canon has released a whole slew of new products, including compacts, lenses, speedlights and 2 new DSLRs.
Some notables:
- In the DSLR category, there's the 600D, which gains a wireless flash trigger and an articulated screen (a la the 60D).
- There's also the new 320EX speedlight, which has a built in video light for video enthusiasts, and also the ability to be triggered wirelessly, and in channel groups.

Wow, has it been a year already?
(That *thump* that you heard around 10:20EST today was the sound of my head hitting the counter.)
T3, T3i, new 18-55IS, new 18-55, four new compacts: the 500HS replaces the SD4000IS, the 300HS replaces the SD1400IS, the 100HS replaces the SD1300IS, and the SX230 replaces the SX210. The T3 has the sensor, meter, and LCD of the 60D, the flash control of the 7D, and the autofocus of the T2i. The T3 has the megapixels of the XTi, and video of the T1i. The speedlight 270EXII includes the ability to remotely trigger the camera - very cool - which the 320EX can't, while the 320EX has a video light. They're also working on a 200-400 that rivals Nikon's lens of the same specs, but has a built-in TC option like that big Sigma one.
Oh, and a half-dozen printers, tooâ¦
