A possibly important new technology from Fuji - Pavel - Nov 19, 2011

Fuji has demonstrated a hybrid organic/inorganic sensor technology, which could have important impact on resolution (increase) , light sensitivity (Increase), vulnerability to the sensor crosstalk when light is not perpendicular to the sensor (an important reason for corner softness with cameras with small flange to sensor distances). With higher resolution themes to improve light sensitivity (low noise) and dynamic range through binning is possible. There is some speculation that the new interchangeable lens Fuji LX rangefinder will have this technology. Follow this discussion.
