Bird identification -

Hello everyone
Could someone please help me identify this bird. It was taken by a river in England and my Granddaughter would like to know what it is. The closest I have found is a Cormorant, but not all the markings are the same.

Hi Jane,
I'm no bird expert, but the feet and yellow patch both say Cormorant to me.

Yep, Cormorant, there are several varieties and colour variations.

I agree, most definitely a Cormorant. The only bird that the Cormorant is similar to is the European Shag.
