How would you deal with this? - Petographer - Jan 5, 2006

I need to reduce the reflection from the forehead. I've tried a couple things but do not like the results I'm getting.

I'd try a quick fix with the healing brush set to darken. Needs to be done a little more finely than this attempt.

Hey, works like a charm. Thanks Craig. Smile

I tried the healing brush and played with it for a good half an hour. I did not like the results I was getting. Finally I used the clone tool set to normal/50% opacity then burned the area set to Highlights @ 12% exposure. I must say I am very pleased with this result. I can't say why I wasn't getting the result Craig did but non-the-less I ended up getting the result I wanted.

It looks great Colin Smile

Will you clone out the whites of the t-shirt?

Good stuff Pet-o... how about the shine on the nose as well?

Thanks Irma and Jules. I did look after the shine on his nose but did not bother with the white on his shirt. Those are letters on the back and it did occur to remove it but I decoded against it. I'm sure I could have spent much more time on many parts of the 17 images they bought from me but you have to draw the line somewhere. Again, thanks for the replies. Smile
