I recently bought Paint Shop Pro (along with my new dual core computer). Has anyone used this? What do you think? I tried it yesterday and it seems really good and less complex that Photo Shop.

Before I learned how to use photoshop I used Paint Shop Pro. I liked very much because it was easy as you say. Those days PSP didn't have so many tools as it has today for photography. That was the reason I changed. I haven't upgraded my program so far, I have Corel PSP X.
I think this will be a great program for you because of their tools to paint digitally.

Thanks Irma. I found that the contrast, brightness and sharpening tools are more nuanced than on my old Photos Suite program.

PSP is brill, different strokes for different folks: I personally find it not as "instinctive" as PShop for "old school" darkroom-type applications, but yes, an excellent toolset.

Don, Paint Shop Pro is all I've ever used, and I've been very happy with it.

I found PSP easier and more intuitive for creating digital art - i.e. painting, drawing lines and shapes... I suppose that's what it's called Paint Shop..
