For me number 2 conveys a mood of calmness. The misty golden rays create an aura of tranquility and peace - a suitable end to any busy day. Though the dark ceiling seems to threaten the serenity.

I agree that power lines can actually become an integral part of the overall character of an image. But they can also spoil some otherwise fabulous shots rather big time. The above B/W shot of the pyl...
