An amazing collection of photographs.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Taken a few years ago, local merchants yard, no longer there, terrible background.
All raised in captivity, plenty people around, take what you get. Ed.

These photographs rank alongside any I have seen anywhere. Unbelievable quality.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Why restrict them to the birds! Deserve a much bigger exposure, fabulously great. Ed.

I truly appreciate your incredibly kind comments. I'm so fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph these amazing birds. Birds are truly living works of art.

When it comes to bird photography, this is about the best I have to offer. We are inundated with gulls where I stay. They mess everywhere, they squawk raucously and continuously and they are a complete nuisance. One of the drawbacks in living in a high flat, close to the shore. The gulls think they are cliffs! So here is my image of a "flying rat".

European Herring Gull, Kirkcaldy Harbour 20-4-16.

Nikon D80, 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR lens, Manual mode, 1/320 sec, f10, ISO 200. 450mm lens equivalent.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".
