In my opinion, #3, #4, and #6 are not cliches but awful mistakes. #1, #2, and #5, along with lots of other photography techniques, have become cliches because they can make good images that people often enjoy viewing, and because of that they are techniques worth trying and applying to some images. Having written that, I would add that over-doing anything in life is never advisable! However, in photography the important thing is the final image - if a technique works with a particular image for you, then it is worth doing.
