Uli, they do exist, but they're rare and much more expensive than USB hubs. I think I paid about $100 (Canadian) for mine, but I've seen a cheaper model for about half that.
They're great for stacking hard drives without daisy-chaining them, or for devices that don't have a pass-through. I couldn't live without mine. (Well, I could, but it'd be more complicated. )
