I didn't notice the grey horizon until tonight.

The smog you might be able to cut down with a UV filter, the distortion looks a little like a fisheye effect, maybe try the shot slightly zoomed in to avoid it.
That said, still a great shot

The grey horizon doesn't seem to be an issue but the way it is curved is a litle strange. Either way, I like the shot Adam.

Wow, I didn't know distortion could be so pronounced with standard zoom lenses - which one were you using?

The smog and the boats are more interesting than the clouds. Neat shot though.
