Othello Tunnels
#1

I'm not going to post a large journalistic story but with post some images and some links to info if anyone is interested. I highly recommend it.

First I'll start off with some of the images I took but there are only a few to start. I have more and will post them as they are processed.

Last Saturday the wifey and I went to the Othello Quintette Tunnels near Hope B.C. Pretty much just a day trip from where we are. For a little more familiarity to people, Hope B.C. is where Rambo First Blood was filmed.

Here are some links to 360 panoramic images of these same area's that will give a much much better idea of how the tunnels are laid out with the river surrounding them. To rotate the image use your cursor.Quicktime required.

Geeeeeeez ......... this is breathtaking landscape, wonderful scenery! You lucky people having something like that within day trip distance!

Fabulous shots, Colin. Cool

I also loved that shot you once posted of the distant snow-capped mountains - shot through the windscreen of the car as you were travelling in the Seattle direction iirc? A very enviable environment you have surrounding you.

Your photo's remind me of two places I have visited.
One was the 'Tara gorge' in Yugoslavia, before they started knocking lumps out of one another.
The other place is Corsica, a photographers dream if you get away from the coast.

Beautiful series Colin... Smile

The place looks really lovely... did you have to hike to much to arrive there?... Oh well... it is not because I am afraid of hiking... it is just because it looks so isolated... and your tunel pictures are great as well...

Hey! What about some HDR images with some of these tunel pictures?... Have you played with this idea already? Smile
