Interesting shots, don! I like what you've done with the first one.

Ahhh - grain terminals in the sun - how can you not like them?

Nice perspective and dof on the lower one, Don. What lens is that?

I love them both, though I wouldn't have known they were grain terminals, I don't think I've ever seen any of those before. I like the dramtic colours, also the shadow from the walkway (think that's what it is) I like the way it forms a regular pattern of curves on each hopper/chimney thingy.
I like the railway line, which draws me along and leaves me wanting to study the vegetation and wild flowers closely. Nice composition - it's the sort of place where I like to be Polly

Thanks Toad and Polly.
I used an aux lens that gives roughly a 21 mm equivalent. Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

It's a digital. The Canon A70 lens goes from 35 to 105 (equiv). I use .6 aux that I inherited from an old Kowa camera. The optics arent't great but I use it as a normal lens.
