Wow, great shots, both of them, jericho.
I love the long exposure on the first one, with the light trail.
The 2nd one is very funky too - dead smack in the centre - really makes a statement. What statement that is, I don't know, but a statement neverthelesss.

The second shot is truly amazing, Lak. The fast and the furious.
Technique?

Ideally, If you had an in-car camera mount, the photo would look great! But instead i used the passenger seat to rest my camera. =P
Hehehe adam, the 1st shot was pure luck hey, i was panning (no tripod!) just at the correct speed as the car.

Peice of cake Dewy.
My secret (and believe me, its not that technical)... an interesting location, a tripod, remote shutter release and an eight second shutter delay. Oh, not to mention about 10 other shots of different cars doing the same turnaround with different shutter delays.
I can be confident in saying that my fiance was getting very tired of standing around while I took pictures the whole trip. By the end of it, she was only taking pictures of me taking pictures and claiming this was her summer holiday. lol.
Jerry.
