Found this on another site. It's a short video taken at a photoshop demonstration in France. Apparently it's a concept adobe is playing with.

Thanks for posting the link. The video (in English) was very interesting.

The idea of being able to subtly change the camera position, and radically change the focusing and depth of field is mind-boggling. As the demonstration said, it does things that are physically impossible with just a camera. It will certainly change the look of photos that we'll see in the future.

I'm really interested in the implications of image-editing software that's aware of distance. The speaker gave the example of setting a cloning-type tool to remove objects at a certain distance from the camera. Stripping studio backgrounds and skies will become flawless, specific individuals will be able to be removed from crowds: the potential for image-modification becomes much simpler and harder to spot. It will be very interesting to see what changes this will cause.

How many pixels per image? Isn't that thing going to produce lower resolution images?
