hi everyone!
#1

just found this forum, and thought i'd sign up. i'm a "serious hobbyist" photographer, been dabbling in it since the middle 80's, but only got serious about 18 months ago. i live in the Pacific Northwest, and shoot mostly natural subjects - landscapes, flowers, birds, that sort of thing. i'm working on making the hobby pay for itself, have sold quite a few prints, and managed to get published in a couple of magazines and calendars, but want to expand my market and - hopefully! - turn photography into a sort of "second career" to augment my retirement income. judging by the way the economy's doing at the moment, i'll need it!

anyway, i'm looking forward to sharing my images and getting to know some of the people here, learning new things, and all that good stuff...

cheers!
