I've had to sharpen this up a lot unfortunately and I think it shows, but otherwise what do you think please?

Very good shot of a Starling. The coulour, detail and dof are all very good. Doesn't look too over sharpened to me at all. What sharpening process do you use?

I appreciate the positive comments very much, thank you. For this photo I used Paint Shop Pro, the unmask filter. I don't honestly know exactly what the various settings for sharpening do, so I just fiddled until I got the best result I could. I don't like doing things that way but it's in my list of things to read up on.
