I took this photo quite some time ago and created the following;

Im wondering if anyone can suggest some other cropping styles to the original photo

I think for this particular shot - your crop is right - the strong lateral lines in this one suggest a pano treatment.

OK - if you are prepared to take it up a notch with your post-processing to make the city stand out more - an alternate crop suggests itself...

I love that crop, the sun almost looks alike a Alien Space craft coming into land
