Very nice. I think the unfocussed mass on the left frames your subject nicely.

The soft focus goes very well. I'm thinking that maybe the shot may have been better from a different perspective so as not to get the sky in the shot. This has caused a blown area that is very distracting. I also find the the dark area below which would be a branch to be intrusive. The pine twig with needles may have been better suited on an angle for a better composition. Instead of straight across left to right. Not to be too negative but rather just trying to add some critique. I'm sure this shot can be retaken with much better results. I must say, valiant effort.
