I have 4Gb and they told me at the shop to start with that I needed to buy more memory but in fact I only needed the registry updating so that it allowed Photoshop to actually have access to an interger of 50-8. The shop edited the registry and now Photoshop works fine.
I don't understand it but that is what happened and I didn't have to buy more memory. Pat
